About Laura

Laura has been licensed as a Paralegal by the Law Society of Ontario since 2016 and became a Notary Public in 2020. She brings 7 years of experience in personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, and a strong academic background.

She graduated from her paralegal program with honours in 2016 and earned her LL.B. with honours in 2023. She intends to further her education with two LL.M. degrees. Laura was mentored for seven years by exceptional lawyers at a boutique personal injury firm in Toronto, where she honed her advocacy, litigation strategy, and legal writing skills.

After overcoming a battle with cancer in 2024, Laura founded Ghostwriter.Legal, providing high-quality drafting services to legal professionals. In 2025, she joined Ian Shemesh, Paralegal, where she focuses on legal drafting, evidence assessment, and written advocacy for small claims and tribunal litigation.

Laura is committed to professionalism, client success, and continuous learning, and she looks forward to pursuing her LL.M. and ultimately becoming a lawyer.
